How fast do I get the report?
Most reports come back the same day, often in a few hours. The clock starts when the applicant finishes their part on their phone. You get an email and a notification the second it's ready.
What do I actually see in the report?
Their credit score, real income from their bank, eviction history, criminal records, savings, and a verified ID with photo. Each section has a clear answer up top so you don't need to dig.
Who pays for the screening?
Pay per screening. Payment can be made by you or the applicant at checkout. You pay nothing to make an account, send invites, or hold reports. No monthly fees. No contracts. No subscription.
How much does it cost?
Plans start at $24.99 per screening (Starter), $34.99 (Essential), and $44.99 (Complete). At checkout you choose whether you or the applicant pays.
Is it safe and legal?
Yes. We follow all the federal and state rules for tenant screening (FCRA and fair-housing). The applicant gives their consent before any report is pulled, and they can dispute anything they think is wrong.
What if the applicant says something on the report is wrong?
They can open a dispute with Checkr directly. We check with the original source, fix it if they're right, and let you know if the report changes.
Can I screen tenants in any state?
Yes. We pull records nationwide. Some states have extra rules and we show you guidance in the dashboard so you stay on the right side of them.
